GENERAL PRACTIONER

Dr Huiyun Zhao graduated from a Medical University in China in 1982 and continued her training at the largest public hospital in her hometown – Nanjing until 1986, when she entered a three-year clinical study in the University. Her major was treatment in combination with Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She obtained master’s degree of medicine in 1989 prior to becoming a specialist physician in China. She came to Australia in 2001 after spent 11 years in Papua New Guinea as a general physician, worked in various regional areas including Warracknabeal, Maryborough, Geelong, Melbourne in the Hospitals, Aged care facilities and General practices. She is interested in all aspects of general practice, in particular women’s health, Travel Medicine, Cosmetic medicine, paediatrics, and minor surgical procedures.aving worked in general practice in Geelong for 18 years with a strong commitment to community health, Dr Monique Couch has a particular interest in women’s health and paediatric medicine, offering patient-centred care for every stage of life. With over 35 years of experience as a dedicated GP, Dr Deb Harley is a well-respected and long-standing member of the Geelong medical community. Having lived locally for more than 40 years, she brings not only great clinical expertise but also a genuine understanding of the people and needs of the region.

Dr Harley is passionate about family medicine, offering compassionate, continuous care across all stages of life – from birth to end-of-life care. Her special interests include aged care, palliative care, and preventative health. Known for her thoughtful and thorough approach, Dr Harley is committed to partnering with her patients to improve their quality of life.

Fluent in Lithuanian, Russian, and English, Dr Aston is passionate about delivering care that transcends cultural and language barriers, ensuring that all her patients feel heard and understood. With a warm and compassionate approach, Dr Aston aims to build lasting, trusted relationships with her patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Dr Katharine Dally has been a trusted GP in Geelong for 8 years, with a strong focus on preventative care, weight management, and women’s health, including menopause management. She is known for her friendly and approachable demeanour, creating a comfortable space for patients to discuss their health concerns.

Dr Dally is passionate about the vital role GPs play in supporting families to stay healthy, offering comprehensive care that fosters long-term well-being. She applies an evidence-based approach to her clinical care and has completed a Certificate in Child Health and is accredited in Implanon insertion and removal. Dr Dally is also able to perform IUD removal. Her patient-centred approach ensures that individuals and families receive the support they need to maintain good health at every stage of life.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a GP, Dr Karl Symonds brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice. Having worked in both the UK and Australia, Dr Symonds has developed a comprehensive understanding of diverse healthcare systems and is well-equipped to meet the needs of a broad range of patients.

Dr Symonds has a special interest in Paediatrics, Men’s Health, Contraception and Family Planning, as well as Emergency Medicine. He is passionate about providing preventative care, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health, and offering expert guidance in managing both acute and chronic conditions.

Dr Keerthy Sen Chavali is a compassionate and dedicated GP with 7 years of experience in clinical practice. She has a strong focus on women’s health, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well expertise in a variety of contraceptive methods, including Implanon, Mirena, and Kyleena, helping women make informed decisions about their reproductive health. She also provides menopausal healthcare and is part of Australian Menopause Society. She frequently attends to various conferences to keep up to date with current guidelines and provide evidence based medical approaches. She strongly believes in Preventative medicine and aims at providing appropriate education for patients and family about health.

Fluent in Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Russian, and English, Dr Chavali is committed to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive care to patients from all backgrounds. She prides herself on being approachable and compassionate, always striving to create a safe and trusting environment for her patients.
